MOLD MADE SIMPLE

Dealing with mold can be stressful – but we’re here to help. Bio Pro has over 15 years of experience handling mold projects of all sizes so you can sit back and let our licensed experts “make mold simple.”

Learn about out process below.

The first step is to identify the source of your mold problem – moisture or water damage. Using state-of-the-art Moisture Meters and Thermal Imaging cameras, we’ll inspect your property for hidden water damage that could be contributing to mold growth. Once the hazard areas are identified, Bio Pro will collect a combination of Air or Swab samples to send for independent analysis at an AIHA accredited laboratory.

Once we receive your sample results back from the Lab, we’ll design a custom Mold Report + Remediation Protocol that details our findings and includes a recommended protocol for proper remediation.

You can provide your customized Mold Report + Remediation Protocol to any licensed remediation company to get quotes or estimates before choosing a contractor!

After Mold Remediation is completed according to the Protocol, Bio Pro will return to your property to conduct a Clearance Test with new samples for lab analysis.

The purpose of Clearance Testing is to document the successfully completed mold remediation project and to provide peace of mind knowing you home or office is mold-free!

FAQ's About Mold:

Yes. The Department of Business and Professional Regulation is very strict on protecting Florida consumers and they not only ensure you can check any license for free, but also make sure it is up to date with continued education and insurance.

Bio Pro MRSA License #3149

The answer is no. In Florida, there are two distinct mold-related licenses. Bio Pro carries a Mold Assessor’s license, which permits us to perform mold testing, as well as develop the remediation protocol and conduct final testing. The other license type is for Mold Remediators.

It’s considered both a conflict of interest and unlawful for the same company to undertake both the mold testing and remediation work. This separation of responsibilities ensures unbiased testing and effective remediation practices.

Consumer Reports, in fact, rated four brands of DIY mold tests “Not Recommended”.

All homes will contain some level of spore activity when these samples are collected because mold is a common part of our environment. DIY kits, then, are essentially useless for diagnosing the complexity of your airborne mold contamination and therefore should be handled by professionals.

The EPA agrees and states: “Sampling for mold should be conducted by professionals who have specific experience in designing mold sampling protocols, sampling methods, and interpreting results. Sample analysis should follow analytical methods recommended by…professional organizations.”

Without proper FL Mold Assessor training or specialized education, they may be able to claim there is mold – but without lab results or analysis they have no solid data to back up their claim.

Additionally, many of these companies may offer mold testing as an add-on service, which means they may lack the specialized equipment and training necessary for comprehensive mold assessment

Yes, HVAC systems and ducts often become contaminated with mold. These systems provide a dark and often moist environment, which can be conducive to mold growth if there is a source of moisture. Mold can grow on the surfaces of air conditioning components such as coils, drip pans, and insulation. Additionally, if there are any leaks or condensation issues within the system or the ductwork, it can create a breeding ground for mold.

Contaminated AC systems can then distribute mold spores throughout the indoor air, potentially leading to mold growth in other areas of the building. This can result in poor indoor air quality and potential health issues for the occupants
